Welcome to our new blog and internet creation space! After a (very) long design process, we’re so proud to present our newly redesigned website with an online home for our work, thoughts and side projects. We’ve come a long way in the past 5 years and had the opportunity to work on some dream projects with some of our favorite organizations. We are thrilled to have a new space to share our ideas, struggles and crazy experiments with you.
The Seven Mile Media redesign took a long time. Seriously. As any creative professional will tell you, working on your own website and content is one of the hardest things you can do. It’s so much more tempting to start a new project instead of publishing that case study on the last one (or twenty).
But we are through the hard part and ready to share the fun and exciting stuff! On Lucky Robot, we’ll be exploring our work with emerging technologies like machine learning, AR/VR, and interactive installations. You’ll also find our reflections on challenges we’ve faced, behind-the-scenes looks into our favorite projects, and thoughts on cool industry happenings or new tech. We aim to have a colorful sprinkling of our honest thoughts and meaningful work.
The next post will look at Lauren’s recent data visualization installation piece (seen in the photo above), which explores rising sea levels and climate change in Manhattan through physical computing, LEDs and bacteria. We will look into the installation design and construction, the geographic data processing and the extensive trial and error process that comes from designing with bacteria.
These past 5 years have been a wild ride and we’re so excited to see what comes next. Stay tuned for more and keep on creating!
